Please read any waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and waiver of legal rights and deprives you of the ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree to this document unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the waiver and release agreement.
As consideration for being permitted by the Sacramento Running Association (SRA), and the organizations, cities and counties in which the race is contested, (herein collectively referred to as "Promoters and Sponsors") to volunteer at the CALIFORNIA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON/RELAY/5k (CIM), I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue or attach the property of the Promoters and Sponsors, for any and all injuries or damage arising from my participation as a volunteer at CIM. I also agree that I will report to work in appropriate mental and physical condition to perform my assigned job in a satisfactory manner; that while on a production site I will act at all times in a safe, responsible, and courteous manner; and that I will immediately report any unsafe work condition or accident resulting in injury to my immediate supervisor; and that violations of these conditions may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of responsibilities. I also give free use of my name and/or picture in any broadcast, telecast, or other account of this event. I further acknowledge that if I am signing this Volunteer Release/Agreement on behalf of a minor person ("Minor") I have such legal capacity and authority to act on behalf of the Minor and bind the Minor to this Official Volunteer Release/Agreement.
